Micro-Recovery: "The Shake Out"

Used while climbing.

  • How: Find a stance. Hold Shake Out button.
  • Effect: Recovers current stamina pool.
  • Limit: Cannot recover "Greyed out" stamina (Pump).

Macro-Recovery: The Bivouac (Camp)

The Bivouac (Portaledge) is your home. You can deploy it at specific zones (anchors) or sometimes freely on ledges.

1. Hands Care (Critical)

  • Mechanism: Aava's hands get cut/bruised. This permanently lowers max grip.
  • Action: Use Tape or Bandages in the Medical tab.
  • Priority: #1. Bad hands = Game Over.

2. Cooking

  • Raw Food: Small benefit.
  • Cooked Food: Large benefit + Buffs.
  • Recipes:
    • Herbs + Water = Infusion (Stamina regen buff).
    • Rat/Meat + Stick = Kebab (Health + Hunger).
    • Yellow Yak = Burst Energy.

3. Sleep

  • Restores Health.
  • Passes Time (Wait out storms).
  • Warning: Sleeping burns Hunger/Thirst. Don't sleep if you are starving unless you have food to wake up to.

4. Crafting

  • Scrap Metal: Found on the wall or by Climbot.
  • Use: Fix pitons, craft new ones, repair gear.

The "Pump" (Lactic Acid)

If you climb too long without a Bivouac, your stamina bar turns grey from the right side.

  • Cure: Massage (at camp), Sleep, or specific Infusions.
  • Danger: Do not attempt Crux moves when Pumped.
